Mr. MOT Littlehampton is a totally independent drive-through MOT test facility approved by the DVSA.
What’s included in an MOT?
checks the VIN, is present and legibly & lawfully displayed on the vehicle.
tests the steering components for correct condition & operation.
tests the suspension for correct condition & the operation is correct.
tests that the doors open and close & the latch is secure in a closed position.
tests the condition, security, legibility & format of letters and numbers.
tests the horn’s operation for effectiveness and suitability.
Seats / Belts
tests the front seats for security and general usage structure.
tests all the main mirrors on your vehicle for condition and security.
tests the condition, operation, security and colour of the lights.
tests your vehicle’s windscreen for any breaks, chips or cracks.
tests exhaust emissions, so the vehicle is within specified guidelines.
Wheels & Tyres
tests the wheels and tyres condition, security, tyre size and type and tread depth.
Wipers / Washers
tests the wipers & washers ensuring they operate properly.
tests for leaks and that the fuel cap fastens and seals securely.
tests the structure and body shell for excessive corrosion or damage.
tests the efficiency of the braking condition, performance & operation.
Class 4 MOT (otherwise known as Class IV) include the following vehicle types; 3-wheeled vehicles (over 450kg unladen weight), Cars (up to 8 passenger seats), Motor caravans, Quads (max unladen weight 400kg – for goods vehicles 550kg and max net power of 15kw), Dual purpose vehicles, Private hire and public service vehicles (up to 8 seats), Ambulances and taxis, Private passenger vehicles and ambulances (9 to 12 passenger seats), Goods vehicles (up to 3,000kg design gross weight).
